Manchester United prepare a midfield revolution after Casemiro’s departure
Manchester United are preparing to make a strong move in the upcoming summer transfer window to reinforce their midfield, especially with the confirmed departure of Brazilian midfielder Casemiro and the uncertainty surrounding the future of Uruguayan international Manuel Ugarte.
According to The Athletic, the Red Devils’ management have placed Nottingham Forest and England midfielder Elliot Anderson at the top of their shortlist, as he is highly rated within the club.
The same source added that United’s list also includes Crystal Palace and England midfielder Adam Wharton, as well as Brighton and Cameroon star Carlos Baleba, as part of the club’s plan to rebuild the midfield ahead of the new season.
The report noted that signing any of these players next summer will not be an easy task, given the strong competition from several European clubs and the significant rise in their market values.
