Officially.. Barcelona announces Paris Saint-Germain match to be held at Montjuïc Stadium

Spanish club Barcelona has revealed the stadium that will host its match against French team Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

Spanish club Barcelona announced on Friday that its first home match in the 2025/26 Champions League season, scheduled against Paris Saint-Germain in the second round of the league stage, will be held at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys (Montjuïc).

The Catalan club continues its efforts to obtain the necessary administrative permits for the reopening of the Camp Nou stadium in the near future. However, the clash against the reigning champions will definitely be played at the Montjuïc stadium, which hosts Barcelona's European matches while awaiting the team's return to its historic home ground.

The Catalan club confirmed in its statement: "FC Barcelona would like to express its gratitude to its members and fans for their understanding and support in a complex and ambitious process, such as the return to a renovated Camp Nou.".

Barcelona revealed the mechanism for selling tickets for the highly anticipated encounter, described by many as the "missing final" after both teams failed to reach the final last season. The same entry system and capacity applied at the Montjuïc stadium in previous seasons will be adopted.

FC Barcelona will face Paris Saint-Germain on October 1st in the match that will bring the two teams together within the second round of the Champions League.
