Enrique: We Played a Great Match Against Barcelona
Enrique stated in a press conference following the Barcelona vs. Paris Saint-Germain match: “We played a great match. The start was difficult because Barcelona dominated possession for the first 20 minutes, but we gained confidence. We were better in the second half and ultimately secured a deserved victory.”
He added: “I was not surprised by the win against Barcelona because we play with our identity, which doesn’t change. In the end, it’s an important victory, and beating this team is a beautiful thing for us.”
He continued: “Beating Barcelona is a significant result that gives us more confidence. We want to enjoy this success and celebrate with our fans.”
Regarding the possibility of reaching the Champions League quarter-finals, he said: “I don’t know. It depends on the fixture list, and we have very difficult upcoming games. We can win every match, and we can also lose every match. I'm not concerned about the quarter-finals now. What matters to me is that we always feel the club's mentality.”
On coming back from a goal down, he said: “Playing away from home is complex. We had to manage the game and adapt. We showed that we are capable of overcoming difficulties since last season.”
What did Enrique say about Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes?
He concluded by speaking about Achraf Hakimi and Nuno Mendes: “Without a doubt, they are the best in the world. When we play and attack, and have two fast players like them, we can prepare for every match with ease.”
