Real Madrid suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat against Celta Vigo in the fifteenth round of the Spanish league, in a match held at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Real Madrid's points total remained at 36, placing them second, four points behind Barcelona, while Celta Vigo increased their tally to 19 points, moving up to tenth place.

Real Madrid suffered an early setback in the 24th minute when Militão got injured, and the team did not deliver the expected performance during the first half amid disciplined defending from Celta Vigo.

In the 54th minute, Celta Vigo scored the opening goal through Filipe Svedberg, who took advantage of a cross from Zaragoza and skillfully redirected it into the net past goalkeeper Courtois, who failed to deal with it.

Real Madrid's situation became complicated after Fran García was sent off in the 65th minute with a second yellow card, just one minute after receiving the first. Meanwhile, the team created several scoring opportunities but lacked effectiveness.
