Massimiliano Allegri, the coach of the first football team at Italian club Milan, commented on the Rossoneri's frustrating draw against Juventus in Serie A.

Milan squandered numerous chances in a disappointing away draw against Juventus, in the sixth round of the Italian League, in Max's first match against his former team.

Since leaving Juventus in 2024, Allegri faced the Bianconeri for the first time, and received a great ovation from the Old Lady's fans before the kick-off.

Allegri frustrated by draw with Juventus

Allegri said in statements to the Italian network "DAZN" after the match: "I didn't even see how Pulisic took the penalty, but we played with balance in the first half, and in the second half we were better."

He added: "In the second half, we matured physically and created chances, but with Juventus controlling us, we needed more decisiveness. The positive side is that we didn't concede any goals, but at times, we must finish the match in our favor."

Milan missed many opportunities, the easiest of which was for Rafael Leão, who failed to convert Pulisic's cross into a goal despite being directly in front of the goal with no defender.

Allegri: Leão must learn to be ruthless

Allegri commented: "Leão was out for 45 days, so he is still regaining his fitness and rhythm. He made a great effort, but he couldn't score. We have great attacking capabilities with him, Nkunku, and Giménez."

He continued: "Leão is a genius player, but he now has to learn how to win matches – that's what makes him decisive, he has to be ruthless at times."

Regarding his emotional return to the Juventus stadium, he said: "It was very moving. I saw many people I worked with, people who supported me for eight years. I am grateful, but I am now at Milan, and we have a lot of work ahead of us."
