Flick Excludes Raphinha from Barcelona Squad Against Valencia for Disciplinary Reasons -

Hans Flick, the technical director of Barcelona's first football team, announced the Blaugrana's squad to face Valencia, in the fourth round of the Spanish League.

The Blaugrana will host Valencia in the fourth round at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, in the team's first match after the international break, and after the previous draw against Rayo Vallecano.

The Catalan club's squad saw Raphinha's absence and his presence on the substitutes' bench, despite Lamine Yamal's injury and his absence from the match, which sparked controversy over the Brazilian's sitting out.

Flick Excludes Raphinha for Disciplinary Reason

According to the Spanish radio station “RAC1”, Hans Flick decided to exclude the player from the starting lineup due to being late for the activation session this morning.

Flick decided to punish the player for his lateness, even though he was supposed to be in the starting lineup today, especially in light of Lamine Yamal's absence.

Flick previously did the same thing in the match against Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish Super Cup last January, when Inaki Peña was late for the same session, and was excluded, with Chesni playing instead.

Raphinha played all of Barcelona's previous matches fully from the start of the season, against Real Mallorca, then Levante, and finally Rayo Vallecano, in which the Blaugrana achieved 7 points.
