Officially... Barcelona concludes its first summer deal by including Gordon
FC Barcelona has concluded its first deal during the current summer transfer market, after reaching a final agreement with Newcastle United to sign English winger Anthony Gordon, in a new step aimed at strengthening the team’s front line in preparation for the next season.
Reliable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed the completion of the famous deal with the phrase “Here We Go,” indicating that the agreement between all parties has become complete, with the player preparing to travel to Barcelona in the coming hours in order to undergo a medical examination and sign contracts.
According to the details circulating, the value of the deal will amount to 70 million euros as a fixed value, in addition to more than 10 million euros in variables and incentives linked to performance and future achievements.
Gordon is Barcelona’s first signing in the current summer Mercato, after he received the green light from the technical management led by German coach Hansi Flick, who sees the player as a strong addition thanks to his great speed and ability to play in more than one attacking position.
