Chelsea dismisses Rossinior and begins a new phase
Chelsea FC announced, through an official statement, the termination of its contract with technical director Liam Rosenior, due to the decline in the team’s results during the last period of the season.
The club explained that this decision came after a comprehensive evaluation of the performance, as the results did not live up to the level of expectations, despite the continued competition on several fronts, including the race to qualify for the European Championships, in addition to the team’s journey in the FA Cup.
The Chelsea management was keen to thank Rossignor and his crew. Technical Director, praising the professionalism they have shown since assuming responsibility in the middle of the season, and wishing them success in their upcoming stations.
In an interim step, the club announced the appointment of Callum McFarlane as technical director of the team until the end of the season, with him leading the current phase with the support of the technical staff, in an attempt to achieve the best possible results during the remaining period.
The statement also indicated that the club’s management is in the process of conducting a comprehensive review during the next phase, in preparation for making the appropriate decision regarding hiring a permanent coach to lead the team in the long term.
