Pyramids FC snatch an important draw in Morocco and postpone qualification until Cairo

Pyramids FC secured a valuable 1-1 draw away against AS FAR Rabat in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the CAF Champions League.

The match took place at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Olympic Stadium in Rabat.

Early lead for the Moroccan side

The home team started strongly and took the lead in the 8th minute through Ahmed Hammoudan.

Pyramids respond

At the beginning of the second half, Mahmoud Zalaka equalized for Pyramids in the 52nd minute after a well-organized attack.

Decisive second leg ahead

The qualification spot for the semi-finals will be decided in the second leg on March 21 at Air Defence Stadium in Cairo.

The winner will face the victor of the tie between RS Berkane and Al-Hilal Omdurman in the semi-finals
