Manchester City secures a crucial 2-1 win over Newcastle United

Manchester City claimed a vital 2-1 victory against Newcastle United at the Etihad Stadium in the 27th round of the Premier League.

Nico O’Riley opened the scoring for City in the 14th minute with an assist from Mermoush, before Luis Hall equalized for Newcastle in the 22nd minute, assisted by Jacob Ramsey.

City regained the lead in the 27th minute through O’Riley again, assisted by Erling Haaland, securing a valuable home win.

With this result, Manchester City moved to 56 points in second place, two points behind Arsenal temporarily, while Newcastle remained with 36 points in tenth place.

Arsenal will face Tottenham on Sunday in the same round, noting that the Gunners played an extra match that ended in a 2-2 draw against Wolverhampton, intensifying the title race.
