Bayern Munich crush Hoffenheim 5-1 to extend Bundesliga lead
Bayern Munich secured a commanding 5-1 victory over Hoffenheim in the 21st round of the German Bundesliga at Allianz Arena.
Hoffenheim played with ten men from the 17th minute after Akpoguma was sent off, and Harry Kane opened the scoring for Bayern with a penalty in the 20th minute.
Hoffenheim equalized in the 35th minute through Andrej Kramarić, but Bayern regained the lead before halftime with a second penalty from Kane in the 45th minute, followed by a third goal from Luis Díaz in 45+1.
In the second half, Díaz continued his brilliance, scoring two more goals in the 62nd and 89th minutes, completing a sensational performance for the Bavarian giants.
With this win, Bayern Munich’s tally rose to 54 points, extending their lead over Borussia Dortmund by six points, while Hoffenheim remain on 42 points in third place.
