City continues the title chase after an important win over Wolverhampton
Manchester City secured an important 2-0 victory over visiting Wolverhampton at the Etihad Stadium in the 23rd round of the Premier League.
The Sky Blues opened the scoring early in the 6th minute through Omar Marmoush, who expertly converted a precise cross from Núñez into the net.
In the second minute of added time in the first half (45+2), Manchester City doubled their lead via Antoine Semenyo, who received a brilliant pass from Bernardo Silva and fired a powerful shot into the goal, cementing the team’s dominance before halftime.
With this win, Manchester City raised their tally to 46 points, temporarily moving up to second place and narrowing the gap with leaders Arsenal to 4 points, while Wolverhampton remain at 8 points in 20th place.
