Paris Saint-Germain secured a valuable away victory after defeating Auxerre 1-0 on Friday evening at the Abbé-Deschamps Stadium, in the 19th round of the French Ligue 1.

The only goal of the match was scored by Bradley Barcola following a quick counter-attack, finished off with a brilliant assist from Ousmane Dembélé, allowing Barcola to slot the ball calmly into the net.

With this win, PSG raised their tally to 45 points, temporarily topping the league standings with a three-point lead, while Auxerre remain on 12 points in 17th place.

Lens sit second with 43 points and will face third-placed Marseille, who have 34 points, on Saturday in a highly anticipated clash.
