Monfort revealed that the player has received several official offers from clubs in both the German and English leagues, which encouraged him to pursue a new chapter in his career outside Spain in search of greater development. Barcelona had planned to renew the player’s contract once he turned 18, as part of the club’s strategy to retain its top emerging talents from La Masia. However, the situation did not unfold as expected. The report added that sporting director Deco was unable to finalize the renewal in time, allowing other European clubs to move quickly and take decisive steps toward securing the player’s future away from Camp Nou.
